ŞENİZ SERTER Violin
About Me
Serter started her violin studies with Ionescu Galati at Anadolu University State Conservatory in 1991 and continued her education in Ezgi Gönlüm Yalçın's class and graduated in 2002. In the same year, she won the exams of Moscow Tchaikovsky State Conservatory and continued her education in the class of Prof. Marina Yashvili. In 2008, after completing her undergraduate and graduate studies in Moscow with the diploma of ‘soloist artist’ from M. Yashvili's class, she returned to Turkey and gave lectures at Uludağ University State Conservatory and also took part in Akbank Chamber Orchestra. In 2012 and 2013, Serter gave concerts at international festivals held in Slovenia. In 2015 and 2016, she took part as an instructor in the ‘Bilkent Violin Days’ held in Ankara, CAKA's summer and winter schools held in Turkey and abroad, Kaş Masterclass and Çeşme Masterclass organised by İzmir Alkış Music and Ballet School, and gave concerts within the scope of these projects. She has performed solo, chamber music and orchestral concerts in Russia, Germany, China, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Albania, Kosovo, Slovenia, Italy, Azerbaijan, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Greece, Georgia, Hungary, USA, Argentina and Panama.
She received the ‘Chamber Music Ensemble of the Year’ award at the Donizetti Classical Music Awards organised by Andante Magazine in 2017, the ‘Professional Services Award’ given by Yunus Emre Rotary Club in 2019 and the ‘2020 Internal Audit Awareness Award’ given by the Internal Audit Institute of Turkey in 2020.
Since 2013, Serter has been continuing her chamber music concert career in Turkey and abroad with the Nemeth Quartet and is also an associate professor at Anadolu University State Conservatory.
